Skye Bank, a merger of former Prudent Bank, EIB International Bank, Bond Bank, Reliance Bank and Cooperative Bank commen ced operations under the new identity in January 2006 subsequent to the completion of the various legal and regulato r y p rocesses required to consummate a valid merger. As at January 1, 2006, Skye bank�s shareholder�s Fund stood at o ve r N34bn and this puts the bank amongst the first top five banks in Nigeria, measured by level of Shareholder�s fu nds . W ith this level of capitalization, the bank is better positioned to conduct its business and deliver value t o al l st akeh olde rs. The bank also has a deposit base in excess of N71bn and a Balance Sheet size of over N114bn while the branc h net work is currently spread over 160 locations across the major cities and local government areas o f the countr y. A f ew mor e branches are in various stages of opening at various locations and the Bank is constantly looking out fo r more outlets in strategic locations across the country. Skye Bank is owned by a diverse number o f instit utional and indi vidual i nvestors and the shares are quoted on the Nigerian Stock Exchange. |
